Today, Rémi Quirion, Québec Chief Scientist, and Denise Pérusse, Director of Societal Challenges and Intersectoral Networkings, announced the names of the researchers who have been awarded a 2019–2020 Audace grant.
The second edition of the now annual Audace program competition was once again a great success. After analyzing the relevance of the letters of intent, reviewing the top 30 applications and interviewing 25 teams before an international committee, 15 research proposals were chosen to receive funding valued at over $1.9 million in total from the three Fonds de recherche du Québec.
Rémi Quirion and Denise Pérusse extend their warmest congratulations to the teams receiving a grant. The members of each team, along with the titles of their research projects and the amounts granted as part of the program, are presented in the 2019–2020 Audace intersectoral teams table (in French) and in the FRQ's awards and grants recipients list (in French), which can be accessed on the Résultats des concours 2019-2020 [2019–2020 competition results] page. Conditional upon the allocation of the credits voted by the National Assembly of Québec and the decisions of the boards of directors of the three Fonds, these grants may be modified at any time without notice. The support provided under the Audace intersectoral program was made possible through the increase in funds granted to the FRQ in 2017 for a period of five years, in accordance with Québec's research and innovation strategy.
Every year, the Fonds de recherche release the list of the award and grant review committee members who served between April 1 of a given year and March 31 of the following year. To view the list for the current grant period, go to the Scholarship and grants – Competition results 2019–2020 tab.
