Intersectoral Student Committee

The Intersectoral Student Committee (Comité intersectoriel étudiant or CIE) is a statutory committee of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologies, Santé et Société et culture boards of directors. Its mandate is advise Chief Scientist of Québec and the FRQ bords of directors by identifying strategies to promote the accessibility of graduate studies, to work towards excellence in student researchers and to participate in efforts to promote research outreach.

Since its creation in 2014, the CIE has shown the relevance of its mission as well as its essential role within the FRQ and the research ecosystem in Québec. In particular, the CIE undertook extensive reflections that led the FRQ to update their scholarship programs and to create new ones.
