Audace program open for applications

The FRQ's funding opportunity for intersectoral, innovative and risky research

The Défis de société et maillages intersectoriels (DSMI) is pleased to announce that the application form for Audace, the non theme-based intersectoral funding program to support bold, risky projects with high impact potential, is now available. A PDF version of the form can be consulted online in the Toolbox section, for information purposes.

The DSMI also wishes to inform the community that the development of the application form resulted in some minor adjustments to the program rules.

It should be remembered that Audace, designed with the help of the research community, is open to teams that include at least two researchers from at least two of the three sectors covered by the FRQ (Nature and Technology, Health, Society and Culture). Funding under the program, which is administrated by the Fonds Société et culture, is set at a maximum of $100,000 per project over a period of one year (12 months). With a budget envelope of $1.5 M for 2017-2018, the project can fund a minimum of 15 projects.

Teams interested in applying have until 4:00 pm on November 24 (revised date) to submit the form along with all required attachments, via the FRQnet portal.

For further information regarding the program, please contact Katell Colin, Program Officer (katell.colin@frq.gouv.qc.ca or 418-643-7582, ext. 3255).
