The Fonds de recherche du Québec and ANR sign a joint declaration of intent

Rémi Quirion, Québec’s chief scientist, welcomes the joint declaration of intent he signed today in Paris on behalf of the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) with Thierry Damerval, chairman and managing director of the French National Research Agency (ANR).

The declaration enriches the tradition of scientific cooperation that already exists between France and Québec. It aims, in particular, to encourage more bilateral collaborations, broaden current scientific networks and facilitate the implementation of joint projects between France and Québec, especially in the field of maritime research in association with the Institut France Québec pour la coopération scientifique en appui au secteur maritime. Each year, the partners will set out their target areas of expertise.

Further details on the initiatives that will be developed under the joint declaration of intent will be communicated to members of Québec’s scientific community in due course.
