Announcement of the December winners of the Étudiants-chercheurs étoiles Award

Québec’s Chief Scientist, Rémi Quirion, is pleased to announce the December winners of the Étudiants-chercheurs étoiles Award, a competition spearheaded by the three Fonds de recherche du Québec.

Award winner, Fonds Nature et technologies

Andrea Greschner, PhD student in Chemistry, McGill University.

Award-winning publication: The Role of Organic Linkers in Directing DNA Self-Assembly and Significantly Stabilizing DNA Duplexes.

Award winner, Fonds Santé

Manon Guay, PhD student in Clinical Sciences, Université de Sherbrooke.

Award-winning publication: Algo: un outil d’aide à la décision pour soutenir le choix de l’équipement utilisé par la personne âgée vivant à domicile lors de son hygiène.

Frederika Eilers, PhD student in Architecture and Planning, McGill University.

Award-winning publication: Barbie versus Modulor: Ideal Bodies, Buildings, and Typical Users.

In addition to promoting careers in research, the competition aims to recognize the exceptional research contributions of college and university students, postdoctoral fellows and members of professional bodies who are enrolled in advanced research training programs in the areas covered by the three Fonds de recherche du Québec.Every month, each Fund will award $1000 to a student researcher.
