Détecteur de rumeurs – Agence Science-Presse

At a time when anyone can produce information and publish it on social media for the world to see, it is important to have recourse to websites where fake science news and rumours are debunked through a rigorous scientific process.

That is why the Fonds de recherche du Québec and the Bureau de la coopération universitaire joined forces with Agence Science-Presse to create a Québec-based science fact-checking website: the Détecteur de Rumeurs [Rumor Detector]. Since January 2017, Agence Science-Presse has published two or three articles a week on current topics circulating on social media. It is the first French-language initiative of its kind dedicated to science.
